Our Community Champion, Kev
Kev – Disc Golf Supporter & Community Player
Kev is part of the extended Liverpool Disc Golf Community and a valued, dedicated supporter of every single local event and activity. He is well known within the group for his enthusiasm for the sport and his involvement in helping grow interest in disc golf across the Liverpool area.
Players like Kev are an important part of the community — showing up to sessions, setting up and taking down the baskets, supporting events and helping maintain the welcoming atmosphere that Liverpool Disc Golf Community is known for.
Disc golf thrives because of people like our Kev who bring energy, humour and encouragement to every round.
Throughout our Meet The Team series we’ll be rounding off by asking everyone for their Disc Golf insights, so let’s get started and get to know our Kev a bit better…
Favourite Disc?
“My favourite disc is an Innova Eagle; overstable fairway driver, because it does exactly what I need it to do…plus I got my first hole in one with it!Best ever throw?
My best throw is my forearm. I’m not the best at it but when it does work it’s lovely to watch the glide! Most frustrating part of the Bowring Park course?
The part of the course I struggle and get frustrated with is the 2nd hole, because the basket is positioned perfectly behind a low hanging tree. It is a challenging hole!Best advice to newbies?
My advice is - Get out on the course and enjoy it! It’s not about how long you can throw it, it’s about technique and smoothness; it’s also about trying new things and new throws!”
