Meet the team

On this week’s blog, we’re launching our meet the Liverpool Disc Golf Community team series - get to know the people growing the game in Liverpool!

Disc golf might be played one throw at a time — but building a community takes a team.

Behind every Wednesday evening session, every community event or activity, every basket carried and set up, every new player welcomed at Bowring Park, there’s a group of passionate volunteers who believe disc golf should be fun, inclusive, and open to everyone.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing the people who help make the Liverpool Disc Golf Community what it is — the players, organisers, volunteers, and quiet grafters who keep the discs flying.

Think of this as our “Meet the Team” series.

Why We Do What We Do

Liverpool Disc Golf Community started with a simple idea:

👉 Bring people together
👉 Get outside
👉 Throw some discs
👉 Have a laugh

Whether you’re a seasoned player or someone who’s never thrown a disc before, the aim is always the same:

Create a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable giving it a go.

Our weekly sessions are designed to be:

• beginner friendly
• inclusive
• relaxed
• community focused

And starting 15 April 2026, we’ll be doing exactly that again with our weekly Wednesday sessions at Bowring Park.

🌟 The Real MVPs – Our Volunteers

Community sport only works because people give their time.

Our volunteers help:

🥏 welcome new players
🌳 set up sessions
👋 teach the basics
🎉 keep the atmosphere friendly

And the best part?

Most of them started exactly the same way:

By turning up and giving disc golf a try.

🥏 The Season Starts Soon

Liverpool Disc Golf Community sessions return to Bowring Park from 15 April.

Whether you’ve never played before or you’re already hooked, everyone is welcome.

No experience needed.
Just come along and give it a throw.

We’ll see ya on the tee!
